Who we are, and what we are not.

Bentley Finance is a Hypercar Finance property covering one marque. We arrange finance against Bentley cars of any age, through specialist lenders, for limited companies and for individuals, with no minimum advance.

What we are not

We are not a lender. We arrange agreements and place them with lenders whose appetite fits the car and the applicant, and the lender pays the seller directly.

We are not a retailer. We cannot sell you a car and we have no stock.

We are not connected to Bentley Motors Limited. We have no affiliation with the manufacturer, we are not an authorised representative of it or of any Bentley financial services business, and we use the marque name only to describe the cars we finance.

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and we do not hold ourselves out as being. Finance taken wholly or predominantly for business purposes is unregulated and we arrange it directly. Where an agreement is regulated consumer credit, it is arranged through an FCA authorised broker partner, and that firm is responsible for the regulated activity and for any advice given on it. You will be told which of the two routes your case is taking before anything is signed.

Who runs it

Matt Lenzie founded the business. He started his career at Black Horse Motor Finance, the motor finance arm of Lloyds, and has worked in vehicle and asset finance since, including several years looking after used car dealers. He writes everything published on this site.

How we decide what to publish

Two rules, and they are the reason some columns on this site are empty. We publish a performance figure only where we hold a verified one, so most of the older cars carry an engine and nothing else rather than a number we guessed at. And we compute a monthly cost only where a current list price exists, because a payment derived from a made-up price is worse than no payment at all.

Common ownership, stated plainly

We publish this site as part of Hypercar Finance, which covers the same agreements across the wider luxury and performance car market. Both are operated by the same company. We would rather say so than have you find out.
